THIS RIFF was Going RoUND and ROund in my hEAD TonigHT
According to legend, the Brown Lady of Raynham is the ghost of Lady Townshend who was married to Charles Townshend, a man known for his fiery temper. When Charles learned of his wife's infidelity, he punished her by imprisoning her in the family estate at Raynham Hall, located in Norfolk, England. He never allowed her to leave its premises, not even to see her children. She remained there until her death, when she was an old woman.
"Captain Provand took one photograph while I flashed the light. He was focusing for another exposure; I was standing by his side just behind the camera with the flashlight pistol in my hand, looking directly up the staircase. All at once I detected an ethereal veiled form coming slowly down the stairs. Rather excitedly, I called out sharply: 'Quick, quick, there's something.' I pressed the trigger of the flashlight pistol. After the flash and on closing the shutter, Captain Provand removed the focusing cloth from his head and turning to me said: 'What's all the excitement about?'"
When they developed the picture they found that they had captured the image of a ghostly woman, apparently the famous brown lady, drifting down the stairs. The picture was published in Country Life on December 16, 1936.
I like this pic, apparently its some japanese cartoon
Im the one in the middle
I watched my friend walk along the path, and noticed that sometimes, quite suddenly, he would break into laughter.
I could not see what was funny, so I called out:
'Why do you laugh? 'How could I do anything else I am so riddled with pretences - how could I possibly take myself seriously? No I must laugh.
Then a little later along the path I noticed that my friend was a frustrated figure, in obvious despair. I couldn't see why this should be so, so I called out to him 'Why do you despair?'
'How can I do anything else?' he said. 'Look at me? What do you see but a tight little Knot of protection? 'Yes, of course I must despair!'
I watched him walk on down the path, laughing, despairing - and sometimes dancing. Slightly worried, I asked a local woman where the path went.
'Oh he'll be alright,' she said. 'Its the path to sanity."

Trees...and that
Unfailing in their ability to stand tall and proud over years, decades, and even centuries, trees demonstrate their capacity to join earth and sky through their own bodies and to transmit the energies of both.
Rooted in the deep earth, they absorb from the earth all that is needed in order to maintain their form and life. This life-force moves through them with a gentle murmur, like the hum of a distant plane. At the same time, the tree receives from the sky, the light it needs to nourish its foliage, to convert carbon dioxide to oxygen, and to replenish the earth's supply of atmospheric nutrients.
The inner being of a tree is both a part of the earth and an individualized life-form - not a physical spirit in the sense of one that could independently move, speak, or think on its own, but a spirit with feeling, consciousness, and a capacity to remain in continual communion with the state of the earth and with its own participation in that state.
